We need nutritious sources of food for energy, protein, essential fats, vitamins and minerals to live, repair and function properly.  When you choose to consume the right foods for yourbody's needs you can maintain your immune system, boost energy, delay the effects of ageing, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, increase your focus and, by adopting healthy foods, positively affect your mood.

A wide variety of foods will provide all the rught nutrients when in the correct balance keeping you in good health. There are government guidelines which are designed with an average healthy person in mind and to fit the masses, not the individual. These guidelines are a useful tool if you fit that criteria. However, if you are at greater risk of developing, or have already developed a health issue, then there is a greater need to make food work for you.

Everyone is different in how we interact, consume and digest food; Tailored Nutrition was created with the individual in mind.

I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in human nutrition at the University of Worcester. My degree went in-depth of the biological chemistry of the human metabolism, physiology, and anatomy, and how nutrition plays its part within these systems. This gave the ground work to then be taught how to use nutrition in disease management.


My degree was accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN), there are many nutrition courses out there, but a nutrition degree which is regulated by the AfN ensures there is a strong scientific background and the course content is at a very high standard.

The AfN also has a register of fully qualified nutritionists, meaning they must adhere to specific ethics and codes of practice to ensure a client’s safety and partake in continuing professional development by keeping on top of current research so out of date practices are not used. I am on this register as a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr). This register is available to the public, so you can be confident when choosing a nutritionist who is regulated by the AfN.

I specialise in Type 2 Diabetes, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, identification of Food Intolerances and Weight Management. Outside of Tailored Nutrition I'm a diabetes prevention coach where I work with groups of people, for a 9-month programme, who have been referred by their GP.
